About the Graduate Program:
Our 2 years rotational Technical Graduate Program for Africa creates an opportunity for young talents like you to deepen your expertise in an area that you are passionate about. The program is launched in Barry Callebaut’s most strategic African locations, where our Graduate’s expertise is valued and entrepreneurship fostered. This graduate program will also offer you an international experience and the opportunity to develop technical skills and develop your leadership potential in order to become a leader in the Electrical & Utilities field in our Africa Region.
About the Opportunity:
We are offering you the opportunity to further develop your career within our electricity & utilities Management department. Over the 2 years term you will gain significant international experience with the opportunity to undertake at least one rotation.
Over the 3 rotations you will gain experience across core areas including:
- Electricity
- Compliance of Basic standard in industrial electrical installation & facilities
- Follow up electrical & utilities procedures
- Knowledge of electrical accreditation
- Knowledge of low and medium voltage
- Knowledge of transformers
- Knowledge of genset and air compressor
- Implementation of transmitters (temperature, level, pressure ...)
- Implementation of variable speed devices
- Calibration, verification of monitoring and measuring equipment
- Maximo use and practice
- Identification of main gaps and performance improvement process
Quality, Safety and Process
- Basic HSE & GMP Competencies
- Key industrial safety requirements in all types of energy activities and installations
- Knowledge of cocoa beans processing and critical equipment (roaster, grinder...)
About you
Education
- Bachelor degree or engineer diploma in electricity/ generalist
Specific knowledge, competencies and skills required
- Ability to read an electrical diagram
- Good knowledge on starters and variable frequency drives
- Master Lock out Tag out principles
- Master of electrical rules and standard used in Low Voltage and TGBT
- Be able to calculate and design cable for any new installation
- Critical thinker and problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently and handle projects
- Integrity & Responsibility
- Bilingual French/English
- Internationally mobile and willing to relocate to other African locations (Ivory Coast, Ghana, Cameroun)
- Eager to learn
- Listen, support and collaborate well with others
- Team player with good interpersonal skills
NB: To qualify for our graduate program applicants must bring a maximum of two (02) years first experience (including industrial internships) in electrical systems, and must hold a Bachelor’s Degree preferably complimented with a Master’s Degree.
